New Work: The Deadline God Posted on 10 Sep 2012

Ancient mythologies describe the ills of the world (strife, death, chaos, etc) as sentient creatures intent on plaguing humanity (if my vague recollection of Theogeny serves me). I wanted to illustrate a few gods and demons for modern inconveniences - in this case, the merciless god of deadlines with whom most designers and illustrators are probably familiar with. This is also a fairly accurate representation of what my desk looks like during the zero hours of a deadline (note the completely blank page she's working on.)
Check out the full view in the gallery. Sketches below the jump.
PigPen Theatre/Buffalo Picture House: Bremen Posted on 01 Aug 2012

I recently had the good fortune to work with Buffalo Picture House on Bremen, an animated short film for the PigPen Theatre Co. album of the same name.
The animation mimics PigPen's signature shadow puppetry, and the story follows an old man on his journey to refill the moon. Insanely talented musicians, insanely talented cinematographers, and my own self limping alongside like Igor with some character design. Watch the video - it's absolutely amazing.
French Bulldog Last Chance Posted on 29 Jul 2012

When French Bulldog Last Chance Rescue (a rescue organization that works to rehabilitate and rehome difficult dogs) found my work through my recent Regretsy poster illustration, they asked for my help in creating another Statue of Liberty-themed poster, this one for their own cause.
The resulting image of huddled masses of Frenchies will, with some luck, be bringing in funds for the care and feeding of some misunderstood little dogs at the organization's annual fundraiser in August.
Blackout Ray & Bionic Hat Posted on 15 Jul 2012

A pair of recently illustrated inventions for Ascora Games: a blackout ray and a bionic hat (both being put to somewhat non-conventional uses.)
From the Sketchbook: Temper Temper Posted on 07 Jul 2012

Something incomplete from the sketchbook. Special bonus: the illusion of Don King hair and/or a ridiculous sombrero.
