about me

This space used to contain my pretentious third-person bio; but since (as Arizona State once declared about a certain visiting president) my "body of work is yet to come," I'll stick to the basics: I'm a freelance illustrator living in northern Maine with a dog, a cat, and a scientist. I love art (are there any artists who hate it?) and when I'm not drawing I can be found pattern drafting and laboriously hand-coding my website.

My art is a combination of digital and traditional media, and is defined by its darkness, whimsy, and emphasis on characters and storytelling. My illustration work has most recently found itself in magazines, card games, advertising, and animation, but is at home anywhere there is a story to be told.
